Flathead and Channel Catfish trips

Trips will start at 6pm and last approx 6 hours (ending at midnight).

The guide trip calendar runs from the second weekend in May through the end of August and will vary depending on the current seasonal weather conditions. Trips will be either on the Minnesota River from Jordan downstream to Bloomington or Mississippi River Pool 2 from St Paul to Hastings.  Depending on water levels and ramp conditions the trip can be flexible if you have a preference of location.

A MN fishing license will be required for Flathead and Channel Cat trips.

All bookings require a $160 deposit. No date will be considered "held" until a deposit is received. Deposits will be refunded in full if canceled at least 2 weeks before the scheduled trip.  Because these trips are on rivers, water levels and weather are a big factor.  If a trip is canceled for water levels or weather you will have the option for a full refund or credit for a reschedule.

Flat fee for a 6hr trip for up to 3 people is $460.  I offer a "no skunk" guarantee.  If you get "skunked" (no Catfish caught) the trip will be half price.  Gratuity is included in the price, I do not accept tips.

Trips will start at approx 4pm and last approx 6 hours (ending at 10pm).

The guide trip calendar runs from January 1st through March 1st and will vary depending on the current seasonal weather conditions. Trips will be on the St Croix River in the Bayport/Hudson area.

A MN or WI fishing license will be required for Sturgeon trips.

All bookings require a $125 deposit. No date will be considered "held" until a deposit is received. Deposits will be refunded in full if canceled at least 2 weeks before the scheduled trip.  Because these trips are on rivers, water levels and weather are a big factor.  If a trip is canceled for water levels or weather or ice conditions, you will have the option for a full refund or credit for a reschedule.

Flat fee for a 6hr trip for 1-2 people is $425.  Due to the slower nature of ice fishing, I am not able to offer a no skunk guarantee for Ice Sturgeon trips.  However I will do my best to provide detailed information about tactics, locations, and gear so that you will be able to go out and do it  again on your own.    Gratuity is included in the price, I do not accept tips.

Things to know about your Trip:

-The catch rate through the ice drops off quite dramatically.  I like to tell people its more like hunting than fishing.  Expectations are approx 0-3 fish per trip.  I concentrate on providing my knowledge and experience as well as target locations in an effort to educate you for further trips on your own.  Having said that we do often have trips with several fish caught.

-We fish the evening hours and temps will likely be below 30.  Fishing will be inside a heated shelter, but typical ice fishing clothes are recommend (boots, bibs, gloves).

-All fishing gear, seats, and bait will be provided.  You will only need to bring your own snacks and beverages.

-This is a catch, photograph and release trip, all Sturgeon must be released after they are caught and photographed.

-We will be traveling across the ice either by walking (no more than a 1/2 mile) or vehicle.  Current ice conditions will dictate the mode of travel.
